Standard and Custom Aluminum Forging Capabilities
Shanghai Glary manufactures custom forged aluminum components according to customer drawings and specifications. Our capabilities include round and square pin fin heat sinks, radial fin heat sinks, splayed pin fin heat sinks, and other forged components in different sizes and structures.
Cold-forged standard heat sinks are available in diameters from Ø50 to Ø210 mm, while custom heat sinks up to Ø400 mm can be evaluated according to fin structure, base thickness, material, and tooling requirements. High-purity aluminum can be used where thermal conductivity and integrated fin structures are required. CNC machining, anodizing, assembly, and inspection can be completed after forging to meet dimensional, surface, and installation requirements.
Forged Aluminum Components We Manufacture
Different base shapes, fin arrangements, mounting surfaces, and machining features can be developed according to thermal, structural, and installation requirements.

Integrated round base and pin array for multidirectional airflow and compact cooling structures.

Radial straight fins arranged around a round base for outward airflow and high surface area.

Forged heat sinks with machined mounting surfaces, holes, slots, and assembly features.

Custom base shapes, ribs, mounting sections, and structural features developed according to customer drawings.

Square and rectangular bases with custom pin layouts for electronic modules and restricted installation spaces.

Outward-angled pins increase air exposure and support heat dissipation in multiple directions.

What Cold Forging Can Achieve
Integrated Base and Fins
The base and cooling fins are formed as one piece without soldered or bonded joints.
High-Density Fin Structures
Thin, closely arranged pins can be formed within a compact installation space.
Multidirectional Airflow
Pin fin and splayed fin structures allow airflow to pass through the heat sink from different directions.
Consistent Volume Production
Dedicated tooling supports consistent fin geometry and dimensions across repeat production batches.

Packaging

Integrated fin structures are formed before final machining and surface finishing.

Mounting surfaces, holes, and assembly features are machined according to the drawing.

Finished components are inspected and protected before shipment.
Post-Forging Processing
Forged components can be supplied as blanks or completed with CNC machining, surface finishing, marking, and assembly according to the drawing.

Mounting surfaces, outer diameters, holes, threads, slots, and assembly features can be machined after forging.

Natural, black, and custom-color anodizing are available, together with RAL powder coating for applicable components.

Reflectors, mounting hardware, cables, inserts, and other components can be assembled according to the product specification.
Quality Control
Forged components are inspected during production and before shipment according to the drawing and approved sample.
Forged Structure
Fin formation, deformation, and visible surface defects are checked after forging.
Critical Dimensions
Base dimensions, base thickness, fin height, and overall dimensions are verified according to the drawing.
Machined Features
Mounting surfaces, hole positions, threads, and assembly features are inspected after CNC machining.
Final Inspection
Surface appearance, finish consistency, assembly, and packaging are checked before shipment.
