Manufacturing Aluminum Pump Housings

Precision machining, surface finishing,
motor assembly, and production testing
for custom aluminum pump housings
used in industrial applications.

Aluminum pump housings are manufactured to accommodate motor assemblies while providing structural strength, heat dissipation, and protection for industrial pumping equipment.

The housing may incorporate integrated cooling fins, internal mounting features, machined interfaces, and installation space according to the structural and assembly requirements of the pump design.

Completed housings are assembled with motor components and undergo inspection and production testing before shipment.

01 Pump Housing Structure

Aluminum pump housings form the main structural body of the pump assembly. The housing incorporates an internal cavity for the motor stator together with machined mounting surfaces, fastening locations, and assembly interfaces for the installation of internal components.

External cooling fins are integrated directly into the housing to increase the available heat dissipation area. The fin structure is incorporated into the aluminum housing as part of the overall mechanical design while also increasing housing rigidity.

After machining is completed, the housing proceeds to surface finishing before motor assembly and final production testing.

02 Integrated Cooling Structure

External cooling fins are integrated directly into the aluminum housing to increase the available heat dissipation area. The cooling structure is formed as part of the housing rather than using a separate heat sink.

The fins are arranged around the outer surface of the housing to improve natural heat transfer from the motor assembly. In addition to thermal performance, the fin structure increases housing rigidity and provides additional support for the overall housing.

Fin height, fin spacing, and housing geometry are determined according to the cooling requirements and overall structural design of the pump housing.

03 Surface Finishing

Before powder coating, the housing surface is prepared to remove contaminants and improve coating adhesion.

Powder coating forms a durable protective finish on the aluminum housing and improves corrosion resistance for industrial operating environments. Batch processing also helps maintain a consistent surface appearance across multiple housings.

After coating, the finished housings are visually inspected before motor assembly.

04 Motor Assembly

The motor stator is installed into the finished aluminum housing after surface finishing. Machined mounting surfaces and locating features are incorporated into the housing to support accurate installation of the motor assembly.

Electrical wiring, fastening components, and other assembly parts are installed before the completed pump units proceed to production testing. The aluminum housing accommodates the assembled motor while protecting the internal components during operation.

Each assembled pump unit is inspected before functional testing.

05 Production Testing

Completed pump units undergo production testing after assembly. The assembled pump is connected to the test station to verify motor operation and electrical performance under specified test conditions.

The testing process is carried out according to the production requirements for the pump assembly. Test equipment is used to check the operation of the assembled unit before it proceeds to the next manufacturing stage.

Pump units that complete the required production tests proceed to final inspection before packaging and shipment.
