Long Finned Aluminum Profiles for LED Lighting

This set includes several long aluminum extrusion profiles produced for one LED lighting range. The sections differed in width, base channels and mounting details, while sharing the same finned construction and black finished appearance.

The profiles were used as related parts within the lighting assembly. Different sections could be selected where different widths, mounting positions or channel layouts were required.

Each profile was extruded to its required section, cut to length and machined with the required holes and assembly features. Black surface finishing was applied after machining to give the completed parts a consistent appearance.

Finned Sections and Open Channels

The profiles combine long parallel fins with open base channels and machined mounting features. The finned surfaces provide additional heat-dissipation area for long LED lighting assemblies.

Different sections were used where different widths, channel positions or mounting arrangements were required. The photos show fin profiles, open channels, drilled holes and end features after cutting and machining.

Cutting and CNC Machining

After extrusion, the profiles were cut to their required lengths and machined with the holes and mounting features needed for assembly.

The machining was planned with each profile section so that the required faces and hole positions remained accessible after extrusion.

Black Surface Finishing

The black anodized finish gave the different aluminum sections a consistent appearance across the LED lighting product range.
